Horisaki
Horisaki's hat making studio is located in the province of Småland in southern Sweden, which has its own desolate atmosphere. There is an isolated charm. Rabbit felt and beaver skin are their first choice. The hat maker will personally shape each hat. When dyeing, he may "blend" some items collected from the wild in the dye, such as apple leaves. But the most fascinating thing about Horisaki is the faint luster that seems to be rusted in ancient artifacts. The key here is "fire" and "water": burn with fire and cool with ice water at the right temperature. The hat will also be burned with small holes, irregular cracks and edges. Not only is each one unique, the same hat seems to show different effects under different angles and light. Horisaki is a beautiful blend of the Nordic advocating simplicity of design and the Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi. "Our hats are not made for anyone. The hat itself does not have a perfect shape. You can shape them at will, just like cowboys and leather. Only with the passage of time and the tempering of wind and frost will it become your body. Part" —— Makoto Horisaki
